Livvy King (b.1995) is a British interdisciplinary artist living in Buckinghamshire and working in Oxford. She graduated from Oxford Brookes University in 2025 with a Master’s Degree in Fine Art and has exhibited her work nationally, participating in group shows between London and Oxford. She has also participated in UK based artist residencies and metal working courses.

King’s practice explores the depth of psychological experience, using colours found, but often overlooked, in nature to create expanded paintings, sculptures, and prints. She uses the material quality of copper to embody the feminine experience, constructing surfaces that reflect herbal healing, human resilience, and the European Witch Trials.  

My interdisciplinary research-based practice explores the intersection between nature and humanity, considering themes of addition, subtraction, and conscious observation. My research examines different methods of physical and psychological healing, as well as women’s roles within society both before and in response to the European Witch Trials. Through painting, mark-making, metal working and sculpture my work moves through a spectrum of abstraction, using an intuitive, process-led method of dissecting a psychological space. 

My research specifically considers materiality, and utilises copper and herbs as a central focus, inspired by its alchemical connection to the feminine. I play with these undertones in my artwork, confronting narratives of female identity, whilst utilising my 10+ years of experience working with people who have neurological disorders to convey visually layered works about post-traumatic healing.
